The most beautiful park in the Borough of Broxbourne

Barclay Park

This Green Flag accredited Park is situated to the North of the Borough of Broxbourne on a gentle hillside overlooking an ornamental lake. Friends of Barclay Park group was established in 2011 and this initiated the start of the Heritage Lottery Fund applications which have since seen a lot of investment and work carried out in the park.

The park first attained the Green Flag Accreditation in 2011 and has been successful in retaining the Award each year since.

Barclay Park has received two grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund in recent years.

This money was used to stabalise the banks of the lake and the island to stop future erosion.

It was also used to widen paths around the park to allow more space for walkers and runners.
